Our veterinary nurses run 'well pet' clinics to give advice on flea and worming treatments, feeding and diet, grooming and general pet care, as well as giving advice on puppy and kitten care.

When are the clinics?

The clinics are by appointment only and are available between the following times:

  • Monday: 9.00am to 9.30am, 3.00pm to 4.00pm, 5.00pm to 5.30pm
  • Tuesday: 9.00am to 9.30am, 3.00pm to 5.00pm
  • Wednesday: 9.00am to 9.30am, 3.30pm to 5.00pm
  • Thursday: 9.00am to 9.30am, 3.00pm to 4.00pm, 5.00pm to 5.30pm
  • Friday: 3.30pm to 5.00pm
  • Saturday: 10.00am to 11.00am

Weight watchers for pets

The nurses also run a 'weight watchers' clinic for portly pets. They will weigh your pet and calculate how much they need to lose to stay healthy. They will discuss with you the best diet and exercise regime to achieve this and are always available to give advice and support along the way. Once you pet has reached their target weight the nurses will discuss with you how to keep the weight off.

What can the nurses do for your pets?

The nurses can administer medications for you, eg worming tablets or flea treatments.

During nurses clinics they also carry out dressing changes, take blood samples at the request of the vets and carry out blood pressure monitoring.
